Question about 2007 Dodge Charger SE
I have a 07' Charger 2.7 DOHC and the heater is blowing heat. The blower workd and A/C as well but for some reason when the blower is palced on heat ; no heat comes out. It sometime does heat for a few seconds and then stops. Ther are no leaks in the radiator and/or heater core. i am lead to believe it may be one of tow things; 1.) The thermostat or 2.) The heater control valve? . Comments?

if the heater core is bad, it will leak or not flow water. even tho you can "hear" the blend door working, it may not be actually moving inside the box. check to see if the actuator is connectd to the blend air door. You may be hearing the actuator moving but not the door.

There is a actuator on the right side of your leg while sitting in the drivers seat under the dash. It has a plastic rod for actuation manually actuate this diverter and should be the problem.

Why was radiator replaced?Did it have heat before ? If it was plugged, the heater core may also be plugged. Try flushing it with a water hose in both directions. I dont know why the botton radiator hose would be cold, the radiator should be a uniform temp and the air coming through the radiator should be HOT, when the engine is at operating temp. What condition was the old coolant? if it was rusty, the water pump may have lower flow than normal.

are heater inlet outlet mix valves standard for all dodge heater cores. I have 2001 dodge cummings blows warm air not hot when gauge is 195 degrees would there be a mix valve under the dash because it is not inline outside the wall

Hi, On the passenger side, up under the dash is your blower motor. Have the key on and the fan switch on and bump the motor with you hand. It is the unit with the quick disconnect wire going to it on the right side closet to the wheel well.I took mine out today and cleaned it with spray cleaner for electric motors (NON-FLAMMABLE) and put it back in. There are only three 8 mm bolts holding it in place. I have a new one on order from PEPBOYS($51.00)but for now it's working just fine!
