There is a Auto shut down relay an a starter relay on the battery side of the inner fender. They are the 1st ASD & the 2nd SR from the windshield washer jug. There is a total of 4 or five of them depending on the vehicle, but have someone attempt to start the vehicle while you place your hands on both of these relays...you should feel a click come from both of them when the ignition is turned if you don't try taking the back of a srew driver handle and tapping on the one that doesn't. If it still doesn't give you a clicking noise replace the one that doesn't...good luck.

1990 dodge caravan, won't keep a charge. Already changed alternator and battery

Either something is draining power from the battery with the key off, or the battery has an internal short.
Have you checked to see which problem exists by leaving the battery disconnected overnight ?

1990 caravan 3.3l motor has spark to cylinders#1 2 3 4 5 but no spark to #6, put new coil pack on, didnt change anything, any ideas

It could be a simple ignition wire problem. Try swapping the #6 wire with one from a known good cylinder and see if the problem follows.

Starter turns motor but wont start

The 1989 model is wired differently from the 1990 model. So this is for the 89 model only.
You should have about 10 volts to the coil from a ballast resistor which gets power from the key switch. The ground side of the coil is handled by the distributor.
Is the coil getting power from the key switch ?

No spark,no power to ignition module, already replace cam and crank sensor but still no power to ignition module, and no spark

Have you pulled codes to see if anything comes up? check to see if you have primary voltage to coil. engine cranking, if no power to coil. check ignition switch or fuse they may be bad. if all else fails, or there is spark or power to coils. this site will show how to test ignition: www.ehow.com/how_4509361_troubleshoot-ignition-system-dodge-caravan.html good-luck!

My heater fan for my 1990 dodge caravan 3.3 litre up front only works when it feels like it,the rear heater fan works well.wondering if its a short in the wiring.did replace the manuel switch that turns it...

Hello purplerobe.
First thing to do if you haven't already is check the fuse in the panel. It's fuse #4 and a 30 amp.
If that's ok you need to go to the blower motor under the dash and check for power on the dark green wire. It may take a little searching, I think these ones are well hidden inside. You will need the key on and blower set on high to do that. A 12 volt test light would be really handy here. If you have power then verify the ground side is grounded. So therefore if you then have power and ground to the motor you then need to replace it.Not an easy task on these model years.
Sure hope it's just a fuse for you.

Ignition Coil A,B,C Primary/Secondary malfunction

Remove the Caravan Ignition Coil Step1 Look under the hood for a distributor. The spark plug wiresmag-glass_10x10.gif connect into the distributor cap. If you don't see a distributor, you may have a model with a distributorless ignition system. Step2 Find the ignition coil. On a Dodge Caravan, the ignition coil is at the back of the intake manifold. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent injury while you work. Step3 Determine whether you need to remove the windshield wiper/motor module assembly. This won't be necessary on all models. Step4 Disengage the connector securing the wiring harness connector to the Dodge Caravan ignition coil. Then, disconnect the ignition wire from the ignition coil. Step5 Use a socket set to remove the mounting bolts. There are upper and lower mounting bolts. Separate the ignition coil from the mounting bracket. Install the New Ignition Coil Step1 Insert the new ignition coil. Mount the Dodge Caravan ignition coil to the mounting bracket. Step2 Attach the mounted assembly to the intake manifold. With a Torque wrench, tighten the fasteners securing the ignition coil to the mounting bracket with 96 inch pounds of torque (10 Nm). Step3 Tighten the bolts that secure the intake manifold to the bracket with 115 inch pounds of torque (13 Nm). Step4 Connect the wire harness and any other parts you removed, including the negative battery cable.
