Missing variable control voltage on the blower fan control module on a 2008 Buick lucerne

What are you using to test this control signal ? Were you on right wire ?
Blower Motor Control Processor The blower motor control processor is an interface between the HVAC control module and the blower motor. The blower motor speed control, battery positive voltage and ground circuits enable the control processor to operate. The HVAC control module provides a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to the control processor in order to command the blower motor speed. The processor supplies 12 volts to the blower motor through the blower motor voltage supply circuit. The control processor uses the blower motor ground as a low side control to adjust the blower motor speed.

Blower motor will not shut off

I can't speak to the cost, a local dealer can do that. As for the reason the fan runs on, it sounds like either a stuck power relay (location should be in the owners manual) or a bad fan speed regulator. Since the fan is stuck on high, I suspect the fan speed regulator is bad. On some cars the regulator is part of the fan assembly, and on some it's separate. Also, there is a possibility you can repair the circuit board, assuming it's something as simple as a burnt out diode. Best of luck!

I have a Volvo 2004 S80 whose blower fan motor stays on, even after the ignition switch has been turned off. What gives? Is this a normal function or should it go off like everything else when you shut it...

Not True. I have a 2004 S60 and a std features is that the blower motor will run from 10 minutes to an hour after the engine has been turned off, This is to dry the evaporator in the dash and avoid musty odors.

If it drains your battery dead there are possible issues; 1) a weak battery that needs replacing or 2) a faulty power stage/transistor unit ont he blower fan.

The transistor unit has power and ground and a digital signal from the control unit. When the transistor sticks, the the blower will not stop when the ignition is turned off.

Hvac blower will not shut off, even when vehicle is shut off and key is out of the ignition

Hi, the likely problem is a shorted blower relay. Unfortunately, your relay is integrated into the motor/resistor assembly, so you would need to replace the whole thing to fix it. You can disable the blower high setting by pulling out the IGN3 fuse under the hood, but I'm not sure the car will run without that fuse. At least you wouldn't have to disconnect the battery to keep it from draining. Please let me know if you would like procedures to replace the blower motor assembly, and thanks for using FixYa.

I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix gt.. The fan blower motor will not shut on so to avoid having my battery drained i have to unhook my battery everytime get out the car. can you please tell where the fuse...

Wasn't sure if my answer posted or not but this is caused by a bad blower motor module it needs to be replaced. It is located on the passenger side under the dash by the blower motor. You can unplug this and the fan will shut off. There may be a plastic cover that needs to be removed to see it. The actual repair is pretty easy. The worst part of the job is removing the plastic rivets that are installed at the factory .Once you are able to remove these the component comes right out. Then you will need 2 screws to put in the two additional holes to hold it in place. In the meantime you can unplug this to keep it from running unnecessarily. The fuses are located on the passenger side of the dash when you open the door the should indicate blower or hvac.

I believe You have a bad blower motor resistor. You can find this resistor close to the blower motor. There will be a 2 wire connector that goes from the resistor to the blower motor.Good luck.
