Question about 2004 Mazda 6

Blower on my 2004 Mazda 6 went out

I was driving home today and the air blower for my 2004 Mazda 6 stopped. All the other lights on the control pannel work and the tempurature indication still works and the fan dial increases/decrease on the instrument pannel but no air is coming through the vents and I do not hear the blower.

I checked the fuses and they appear okay, I will check them tomorrow morning in the day light.

Sounds like your blower motor or blower motor resistor went out.

I have a 2004 Mazda MPV and only get air blowing at 1 speed. How do I determine if it is the blower or resistor that needs replacement?

if the blower blows at all, the blower is working. so the resistor is bad. BUT if it has high miles you want to test the blower and see how many amps its drawing, high amps will kill a resistor.

A/C is cold but hardly blowing

The blower motor is either bad or there is a rodent nest in the basket. Remove the blower from the heater box and inspect. If there is not a nest in basket then the blower will need to be replaced.

2004 impala a/c blower not working

No it can not.
You have a couple of actuators that have gone out. The driver temp control. And the air inlet actuator.
And I don't fallow your statment of "my a/c blower went completely out. I tested the blower and it works fine".

If the blower went out, then what do you mean it works fine? Are you talking about air delivery or it just quits blowing all together?

95 Park Ave blower fan ran with ign off then stopped working

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor, or if you have electronic temp control, a bad control unit.

Blower motor & resistor on 1999 mazda protege. It worked only on high for the last few months. Which would be the resistor. It stopped working totally the other day, I messed around with it and got to work...

just change the resistor b/c when resistor go bad they get stuck on high or low. selecting on low give you more resistor and less flow of air from the blower and on high side you get less resistor and more flow

good luck

Problem with fuses

my 2004 gc did the same. I first checked the fuses it was #20 this
fuse makes the electric fan on the radiator stop the direction signals stop the a/c blower motor will not come on and the dome light didnn't work.after replacing the every thing was fine until i took a short drive. when i got back i put the car in park and the a/c blower stopped, fuse was blown, I went back to my shop and found
the wires on trnsmission neutral switch melted together, all well now after separating and taping. WILEY POWELL..ANDERSON

Air Conditioner Blower

I am sorry no one took the time to respond to this. I hope by now your family is back home and doing fine. Your Volvo needs a new blower regulator. This is a common problem with the newer Volvos.
