Question about 1985 Chevrolet Chevy
94 chevy 4.3 vortec.................................i replaced fuel pump, fuel filter still not getting fuel..re put ground wire .....any sugestions on what the problem might be? thank you
You can unplug the fuel pump relay from the truck. using a small piece of wire jumper from terminals 30 to 87 (they sort of make a "T"). Just before you do this have a friend remove the gas cap and listen to see if the fuel pump is running (it should kick on for 2 seconds when the key is turned on). sometimes i put a transmission funnel into the filler neck to act like a megaphone to amplify the sound of the fuel pump running. If the fuel pump runs when you do this you either have a control circuit problem or a bad relay.
