just check all your fuses with a test light because even if the fuse doesn't look like its blown it might be. also check wires behind the stereo

1999 dodge caravaAfter installing a new stereo, I found that when

This should be located at the back of the fuse panel. There may also be a relay under the hood in the relay/fuse box. Check those as well.

Also, check the fuse in the back of the stereo (if equipped). If it's blown, replace with new one 2-5 amps higher than original. This may be the problem as the stereo may be drawing too much power. Also, make sure that all wired that may be or are connected to the batter (pos +) are in good repair and have a clean solid connection.

Do this for the ground at the battery as well as the chassi or block. Check also the pos + on the starter.

My stereo stopped working I think the fuse is blown. I don't have the manual anymore, and I need to know which one is for the stereo. Can someone help me?

number 27 it is a 25 amp fuse probably blown, it;s a switched ignition fuse so it turns power on only when the key is in ignition and in run position or accessory

I hope that works out for you.

1999 ford exploer

Find horn, remove wire connector from it, try new fuse, push horn again, if fuse blows, you have short somewhere between, if it doesn't, it's the horn.
