I just bought a 1999 ford exploere at a auction yesterday Ithe stereo will not power up , where is the fuse panel to check for blown fuses

There is a fuse panel up underneath the dash on driverside and there is one under the hood and it is normally a 10amp fuse

just check all your fuses with a test light because even if the fuse doesn't look like its blown it might be. also check wires behind the stereo

This should be located at the back of the fuse panel. There may also be a relay under the hood in the relay/fuse box. Check those as well.

Also, check the fuse in the back of the stereo (if equipped). If it's blown, replace with new one 2-5 amps higher than original. This may be the problem as the stereo may be drawing too much power. Also, make sure that all wired that may be or are connected to the batter (pos +) are in good repair and have a clean solid connection.

Do this for the ground at the battery as well as the chassi or block. Check also the pos + on the starter.

My stereo stopped working I think the fuse is blown. I don't have the manual anymore, and I need to know which one is for the stereo. Can someone help me?

number 27 it is a 25 amp fuse probably blown, it;s a switched ignition fuse so it turns power on only when the key is in ignition and in run position or accessory

Car will not start after installing CD player into a 1999 Saturn!


Check your Ignition 1 & ignition 3 fuses in the inside fuse block,also check the body fuse 10amp in the inside fuse block.Keyless entry should take back off once you found the blown fuse.hope this helps

Need to find a fuse chart to tell which fuse to check, the numbers are 1 through 40


use a probe and check fuses to see if one is blown should be power on both sides of fuse if not it is blown repplace as needed

Find horn, remove wire connector from it, try new fuse, push horn again, if fuse blows, you have short somewhere between, if it doesn't, it's the horn.
