Some ford cpu\'s have a safety program that reduces the engine to very low power when the engine overheats or other serious fault is registered by the cpu. It is generally known as the sneak home mode and allows you to get off the road before something serious happens. Check for fault code . check for water in the radiator . check oil level. check tranny for oil level and burnt oil. See a dealer if the problem persists
