Re: putting together the 3 bows for convertible top
Do yourself and your Mustang convertible a favor. Have the top professionally installed. The bows are position sensitive and require adjustment so the top fabric is stretched just right. I had a 66 drop top that needed just fabric and I still paid a pro to do it.

You won't find a schematic but you can find pictures and instructions in some of the classic Mustang parts catalogs or on Mustang web sites and forums. If you disassemble anything else, take some photos and write down the steps. Bag and label the hardware. That way you can reverse the steps and look at the pretty pictures and get it installed correctly the first time.
Of course, if the rear glass was out when you got the car, you'll have to do a little web searching and order some parts catalogs (most are free). Good luck...I still have the doors to do on my '65 so I can't really tell you the exact steps needed.
Remove inner panel. You probably have a defective regulator assembly. If glass has jumped track, you may be able to put it back. Remember it didn't jump track because it felt like it. There's a reason - your job is to find it. Replacements can be ordered from any number of places. Google Mustang Parts. I like CJ Pony Parts but there's a ton of them.
