Question about 1997 Toyota Avalon
I have a 97 toyota avalon. i recently noticed a while ago that after a few minutes at speeds around 60-70 mph, the car would at times have trouble shifting gears. i would litterally have to push the accelerator all the way down to the floor to get it to accelerate. this would last about five minutes and then the symtoms would suddenly vanish. this has since started becoming more frequent. now, it happens every few minutes. Is this a simple transmission problem or am i lookong at something else here?
Hello, and thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.
Before I would consider anything else, I would take your vehicle to a competant repair facility and get the automatic transmission fluid completely flushed. This may be all that your problem is.
