Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
THe gauge is electronic and is not registering anything? any ideas
Ford have a gauge sender in the tank that operates by a resistance through the fuel. less fuel more resistance lower reading. I would check for voltage at the tank unit and it is more than likely the fault will be found in the sender unit

could be a ground on the sending unit in the tank have you put a new one in. if not it could be the contact on the sending unit itself sending irregular signals to the guage.

SOURCE: water temp gauge ,fuel gauge, not
Because they are two different issues no related, I would first check fuses , if they both went out same time, if not that connection that goes into those gauges, maybe vibrated loose. Please let me know results, thanks mike
