SOURCE: 2002 GMC YUKON XL 1500 MOTOR DIES AFTER GOING

Check the fuel cap!! If the vacuum relief is not working it can impede the fuel flow and cause the engine to shut down or not restart after a stop. Waiting usually gives things a chance to stabalize and the engine will restsrt. When this happens again try loosening the cap and see if the engine will restart.....If it restarts immediately, REPLACE the fuel cap..Do Not leave it loose because this will cause other problems. If it is not the fuel cap the problem may be the filter, the fuel pump, or aome other fuel system malfunction.

2002 Gmc Yukon xl. Drove it one morning and returned home than ten mins. later went to start it and nothing. Dead. Turn key to on and all dash lights go our and nothing. Doesnt crank or anything. ...

Take the battery out of it and go to a auto store to get it checked, they do that free, but you might need to get it charged or get a new battery. If it clicks then it's definitely the battery, otherwise it could be something completely different.

Things to consider
-oil change?
-last tuned up?
-battery age?
-Alternator?
-check fuses?
-are you aggressive while driving it, that can cause internal engine problems over the years.

hope it helps.

Hi I have a 2002 GMC Yukon XL and need to know what size torque bit I need to remove the caliper. Thankyou.

Not sure of the size, but most auto parts stores now loan tools so you wont have to buy un-needed tools. They will know the size, I think it was a 35?

I wannato know what is my wheel size?

Look on the sidewall of the tire. It will have your tire size. It will be something like 225/60R 16 or something. The wheel size is 16 inch in what I typed. Yours should be 16, 17, or 20.

motor may be bad, or fluid depleted. Horn is probably bad, replace the horn or check connections.
