Check the ground wire and the hot wire going to the light or it could be something simple as a blown fuse

Turn on 4 way flashes if that light is the same one,, start checking the ground wires and the way the bulbs fit in the sockets if the sockets are worn they wont hold the bulb right..if the ground is faulty the bulb will flash funny..good luck repost findings

SOURCE: my tail light on my

Which tail light? - Brake? - Reverse? - Night Red?
Do all the other lights in the cluster unit work?
Check the supply fuses in the dash or engine bay, they should be mapped on the fuse box door or in the owners handbook.
Put a multimeter (Volts DC) across the supply lines and see if you get voltage (when operated).
If its brake, check the floor actuator (switch) behind the pedal shaft.
If its reverse, do the same for the actuator by the gearstick.
Hope this helps.

generally the problem is either a bad bulb socket blown fuse or a bad ground. check to see if you have no loose or stray wires.

SOURCE: Cadi CTS 05 Front Blinker / Running Light Bulb is out

It is fairly simple to replace the turn signals on the CTS. You do not have to remove the whole bumper, just enough to let you inside behind the lights. Turn the steering wheels one way and remove the 4 clips around the bumper with a flathead screw driver. Then do it again to the other side. You can remove the top clips to give you more wiggle room. Look under the car and remove enough of the clips to loosen the sides. At this point you can stick in your hand from the wheel well and replace the lights. Just turn and pull and re-install the new lights. Simple.

SOURCE: My tail lights don't work.

With a test light, see if you have power back there. If your test light comes on, but the bulbs won't you have a ground wire issue. If you don't have power, you'll have to keep testing the wire back toward the front of the car, to see where it quits. Must be a broken wire somewhere back there.

The Bulbs Have 2 filliments in them if 1 is burnt out that would give you the fast not working tail light there may be an issue with the brake light switch located above the brake pedal on the arm.

Drivers side tail light lighting up at night when head lights are on but break light not working on that side. passenger side not lighting up when head lights are on but break light working on that side....

You probably already know this, however the GMC 2002 Yukon Denali uses the Wagner 3157 (or equivalent) dual element bulb. The running light uses one element whereas the brake & blinker share the other element that burns brighter.

Check to ensure the correct bulbs are being used. Then check all wire harness connections. Since the blinkers function, then it sounds like the connections are good.

It really sounds like there is a bulb issue, so check that first, then let us know the results.

Tail light doesn't work

Could be anything from corrosion in the socket to a broken wire some where.
Remove the bulb and look into the socket at the bottom, are the socket terminals clean?
Next, turn on the park lights and prob the terminals in the socket to see if there is voltage there.
Let me know and we can move on from there.

Also, is there a trailer hitch on the vehicle with a trailer light pig tail?

Good luck and let me know.

99 mercury mystide had rear running light broken

If the driver's side tail light is working, it's not a fuse. Use a test light to check for power at the bulb holder. One terminal will be for tail light, the other for brake/turn light. If the is constant power for tail light, replace bulb. If no power, trace wiring from bulb holder to driver's side junction. Probable broken wire between the two tail lights.
