I bought my suspension conversion from Strutmasters as well and have been very pleased so far. I had already invested several hundred dollars into trying to fix the air ride before I decided to convert. I only wish I would have converted sooner!... great advice!

It sounds like you could have a hole or crack in the air bag. This can be a very coastly fix and something that is never truly fixed. Compressors have a 100% failure rate. What will happen is the airbag will end up getting a hole or tiny crack in it so the compressor has to work extra hard because it is like blowing up a balloon with a hole in it. Therefor the airbag kills the compressor and you have to constantly keep buying parts. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at the conversion kits for the Park Avenue. these convert you from the airbag to a powder coated American made steel coil spring that is guaranteed to last the life of the car. I posted the link below

Hope this will help

I used to have the same problem with my 1997 Park Avenue. The constantly-running noisy motor kind of ruined the effect of having a nice quiet car. After spending several hundred dollars on routine maintenance, it went away. I'm not sure which item took care of the problem, but I suspect it may have been replacing worn shocks. The motor is still noisy when it runs, but it doesn't run constantly like it used to.

Don't know if air suspension is working on 1999 buick lesabre

If it is working, you will most likely hear the pump running when the car starts. It should run for maybe a minute and shut off. If it runs for like 10 min then you probably have a leak. If it doesn't run when you turn it on, put some weight on the rear of the car and you should hear it kick on. If it is not running then either, you probably have a sensor or pump problem. Try these things first.

Air suspension compressor sounds bad and wont pump up the rear on a 2003 mercury grand marquis

What is odd is the compressor stopping after so short a time. It may be your only problem.

When you have a leak in the system, the compressor keeps running because the sensors do not signal for it to shut off. On your vehicle it is either being told to shut off prematurely or the compressor is triggering a circuit breaker.

There are ride height sensors on the rear. If the vehicle was lifted without turning off the Air ride, the sensors may have been stretched.

You can check for air leaks in the suspension bags, and air lines using a spray bottle of soapy water. There is also a Master dump valve that should be ahead of the Drivers front tire/radiator well area. It is not a concern unless there is no pressure in the system.

Finally, just as the engine can express diagnostic Codes, so can the suspension. You need a better scanner to do this function. It is the quickest way to find the problem.

Please rate my info.

What's your problem?Toyota Prado Grande 2004. Hissing sound at the rear air suspension and it drops (the body). Does not happen all the time. Bounces a lot quite often noticibly on a hot day, does

If you have Air suspension this can happen. The noise you hear like from an engine is actually the airpump trying to keep up.

The hissing is air escaping and the bouncing is an indication that the suspension is not fully inflated.

There are individual bleed valves so the system can be leveled by itself. The valve on one suspension unit may be leaking. Sometimes soapy water sprayed while the part is working and again while shut off will show a leak.

Some Makes have a diagnostic plug which a scanner can read to find the problem. Often a car is jacked or lifted on a rack and someone did not turn off the Air system and knocked it out of alignment.

I hope my solution is helpful and enables you to diagnose the problem now.

There is some kind of pump on the rear drivers side near the spare tier what is it and why is it makeing a loud vib sond?

Your vehicle is apparently equipped with Automatic Level Control Suspension (ALC). The thing you hear running in the rear driver's side is the air compressor that pumps up your air suspension. It is normal for this to run occasionally. Sometimes they seem a little loud. That's why they mounted it all the way in the rear and used rubber bushings to secure it...so you won't hear it running while you are driving. If it is running too much, it can be a sign that your air suspension components have air leaks. If it seems to run constantly, you need to get your suspension system checked because the pump will burn itself up trying to keep the leaky suspension inflated. VERY common as well as VERY EXPENSIVE to fix if not taken care of promptly.

If it just runs for a minute or two and shuts off and doesn't come back on for a long time, don't worry about it - this is normal. It SHOULD run for a while if you have the ignition key turned on and you load something heavy in the back of the vehicle.

Air suspension bags are probably leaking. air comp shuts off after 3 minutes because its working to hard. since bags are leaking rear than sags. This car has bags instead of shocks in rear. light comes on when comp turns it self off.

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.
