You likely have electrical wiring problems. This would affect things such as your radio, air conditioner, and power windows. You should consult a mechanic ASAP. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOURCE: air conditioner doesn't run when

I have to assume you are trying to leave the AC on when you shut off the engine, and when you start it the AC is not engaged-it should work if you left it on when you shut it down, possibly you have a system that requires it to be manually activated...but that would be weird, since I have a few GM's...you are leaving it on when you shut down, right?

SOURCE: The fan is not working,

Check the fuse for the blower motor. (fan motor). If it isblown, change it. If it's not, you may need a new fan motor. Check to see if power is present at the fan motor. If it is, then the motor is probably burnt out.

SOURCE: 06 pontiac grand prix wont start no clicking when you turn the key over even jump starting the battery, has dash lights & radio & parking lights. battery tested good. put a used starter & altinator on

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.

SOURCE: my car won't turn over, everything works, but doesn't make a noise when I try to start it

Go under the car and see if you have 12 volts at the purple wire to the starter solenoid when the key is held to crank position, the wire may be broken or the starter solenoid is defective.

SOURCE: heater, air conditioner blower doesn't work

Does it work if you tap it with it switched on? If so, then you have a worn out motor, and need to replace it.

Check power to the motor. If you have power, then replace the motor.

If you don't have power, then check the switch mechanism.

it sounds like you may have a bad ignition switch, check all the main fuses 20 and 30amp under the hood also check body ground straps, otherwise you will need to remove the plastic cover around the steering colum and using a test light check for power to each wire at the ignition switch , every wire will have voltage in some position of the key being turned

SOUND LIKE A DEAD BATTERY BUT CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS.IF NOT BATTERY DEAD NEED TO BE CHECK AND REPLACE.MAKE SURE BATTERY CABLES TIGHT AND BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST CLEAN FREE FROM CORROSSION.AFTER REPLACING BATTERY MAKE SURE ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING BATTERY. WITH ENGINE IDLING BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD READ 13.5 - 14.5 VOLTS. MEANS ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING BATTERY. IF NOT CHECK ALTERNATOR FUSE AND CHECK ALTERNATOR BATTERY FEED WIRE AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRES, MAKE SURE WIRES NOT FRAYED OR BROKEN. IF ALL IS GOOD MAKE SURE ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT TENSION CORRECT.MAKE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER NOT BROKEN OR DAMAGE CAUSING DRIVE BELT TO SLIP OR CHECK ALTERNATOR CHECK ALTERNATOR PIVOT BOLT MAKE SURE NOT LOOSEN CAUSING TOO MUCH SLACK IN DRIVE BELT CAUSING BELT TO SLIP.WARNING TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE REMOVING BATTERY CABLES TO REPLACE THE BATTERY BECAUSE IF RADIO WAS LEFT ON WHILE BATTERY WAS DEAD WHEN YOU INSTALL BATTERY CABLES THE POWER SURGE WILL DAMAGE RADIO.

Sounds like a very common problem for that year, actually from 1992 - 1996. They had problems with the ignition switch, located just behind where the ignition key is inserted. The switch has 1 battery input, but 3 separate ignition (when key is turned on) outputs to various circuits. Quite often one or more of these circuits fail, due to time. Ignition 0 circuit controls most of the modules (computers), Ignition 1 controls accessories (like windows, locks, mirrors, radio, air conditioning etc.), ignition 3 (there is no ignition 2) controls the rest. The switch is possible for you to change out, but best to get a trained technician to do. Before you take it in somewhere, check the main connector at the base of the steering column. Below the steering wheel, remove the kick panel, and knee bolster. There is a large black connector (usually 48 terminals), the center portion is part of the ignition switch assembly. Make sure the terminal wires are tightly secured and making contact on both sides of the connector. This is a weak area for contact, and can exhibit the same symptoms as a bad switch, but not needing one to be replaced. Use a screwdriver and gently push in all the terminals (wires) into the connector, and retry, see if everything returns to normal. If not you will need an ignition switch.

Battery light, abs and brake light is on. Truck dies when you turn on air conditioning

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If the battery light is on, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged. It can be an indication of a weak battery or a faulty alternator. If the battery light still on after charging then the problem will surely be on the alternator itself. If that's the case the alternator should be replaced to resolve the problem.

If the battery won't hold charge even on a new alternator then the problem will be on the battery itself. It surely is in the end of it's service life and replacement will be necessary.

You may try to reset it to by removing the positive battery connector, letting it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get the battery light off.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Many auto parts stores can do a load test on your electrical system. This would give you a good idea if your alternator is doing what it should be doing. It does sound like it is losing charge when system demand is high, but even if the alternator is not putting out much at high demand, the battery should pick up the slack in the short run. I would have both of them load tested.

Car not starting, due to airbags blinking?

I had the same problem.air bag light blinking. Although the power window, radio, light, A/C,etc was working, I could not get it to start. I found out the charge indicator light was not coming on when key is turn to the on position. Cut a short story even shorter, The alternator died. Check your alternator, therefore not charging battery.. But first check your battery(all other features can still work with weak battery) Car can't start because not enough power in battery to turn over. That was my problem. Probably the same for you.

2004 Ford Escape Electrical problem

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.
