May have to push on left side of fuel door. Otherwise should be lever on floor by left side of drivers seat. Check owners manual in glove box if you have one. Sometimes there ia an electric button on dash with picture of fuel pump on it.

Commoners open the owners manual and follow the directions. Lexus, Jag, and BMW owners expect commoners to come over and do this for them. Actually a dealer could even do this for you.

How do i change the hig beam bulb on my bmw x3

1. Open hood.
2. Use a small flat screwdriver to CAREFULLY pry open cap leading to the headlight. Start directly underneath the tab that says "V2." Be careful not to break the tabs! -- to do this simply push the small screwdriver under the tab, as you push it in, you will hear the clip release. The cap will pop and remove very easily after that.
3. Pull out wire harness connecting to the bulb, push the spring clip in and to the side to release the clip and then you can pull the bulb out. Put the new bulb in (do not touch the glass portion or the bulb can explode from the oil residue) and reverse to close everything back up

Bmw x3 2005 headlamp bulb replacement

The last post is correct, but I also have a few tips and pictures.

1. Open hood.
2. Use a small flat screwdriver to CAREFULLY pry open cap leading to the headlight. Start directly underneath the tab that says "V2." Be careful not to break the tabs! -- to do this simply push the small screwdriver under the, as you push it in, you will hear the clip release. The cap will pop and remove very easily after that.
3. Pull out wires, unplug burned out bulb - this clips in with what I can see is a spring clip. I reccomend using a cloth when removing and replacing the bulb. This will protect your hand if the bulb breaks by accident. Also some halogen bulbs will pop/break if your hands leave oily residue on the bulb. When the bulb heats, the oil heats too and can break the bulb.
