Ok i go out to start the truck and it starts right up. Leave it running or drive some where and then turn it off and it wont start. The engine is turning over but it just wont start. I have replaced the battery and spark plugs and i am about to replace the spark plugs wires and other suggestions.

If your sure it's getting fuel, which is easy to see on carbureted, I'd go with the checking coil & then pick-up coil under cap, assuming it has the HEI system. If you check under that pick-up coil there is a contact & spring that was known to cause trouble when it got corroded or worn too. If you have a multimeter, there is ways of testing before replacing.

I have a 91 s-10 that wont run...fuel pump runs and I am getting fuel to the carb all brand new plugs and wires and ignition coil and module and new cap and rotor? fires up and dies out?

The fuel pump relay is at fault. The engine will start running off the oil pressure sensor for the 3rd wire connected to the sensor feeds power to the fuel pump which makes your truck start right up. When the engine achomplish the standard oil pressure as needed the sensor shuts power off by the PCM default system and turns on the fuel pump relay to continue working the fuel pump. replace the relay and you will be driving around again

My 85 silverado was doing the same thing last week. After a few days of that B.S. I ended up replacing the fuel pump and filter and she's been running great since,

PS. The fuel filter is located at the carburator.
