How old is the truck if it has a carb. on it it should have a manual pump on the side of the block. If it is electronic fuel injected it is most likely located in the gas tank.

Normally in the gas tank..these are expensive also if you feel that the price is not worth the vehicle, see about a salvage yard replacement but open the tank up and check it first before install..good luck..

My 2000 Grand Prix GT is losing cylinder fire exactly at 60 mph while accelerating every time. Then the Trac warning light flashes once. It runs fine below 60. Noticed no Speed Cont. fuel pump relay.

What engine ? could have 3.1 or 3.8 L No resistor ? for what ?
Noticed no Speed Cont. fuel pump relay. What are you talking about . Are you talking about no control for the fuel pump relay from the PCM/ECM engine computer ? The PCM Energizes the fuel pump relay for two seconds when key is first turned on . Two second prime of fuel system . When cranking the engine the PCM/ECM will only energize the fuel pump relay if it see's an input from the crank sensor .

There is a part called an Inertia switch which may be located near the Air-ride cutoff. Usually it has an access hole cut out of the trunk carpet on the Drivers side quarter panel.

95 lincoln cont. occassional crank fast ,but no start ,intermittent ,later will instantly start as should

I think what you have going on here is a failing electric fuel pump, this is what they do when they are worn out, it is a rotary pump and the rotor sticks due to worn bearings. To confirm this get a can of spray starting fluid from any auto parts store, next time it won't start spray it into the air intake hose to the engine, if it fires right up you have a bad pump. The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank, remember to also replace the fuel filter when the pump is replaced. Also check the connector to the fuel pump cutoff safety switch for signs of melting, replace the switch and connector as needed, this is caused by a defective fuel pump drawing excessive current.

1989 lebaron cont. car well start with gas primer and then it stops it turn over very good but will not start what is my problem thank you dennis

From the information you posted, my best guess would be either the fuel pump or the fuel filter. Trace the fuel line back to the filter and remove it and check to see if you can blow through it or just simply replace it because all cars need to have them replaced at certain intervals. If there is gas in the line from the filter to the tank that could mean the filter is plugged. You can test the pump by firts having someone turn the key on while your down by the tank and listen to hera if it comes on or you can have them bump the key on while the filter is off and see if fuel is getting pumped through the line. Be careful caus if the pump is good it will start pumping gass on the ground with the filter removed so only have them turn the key on and be ready to turn it off. It would help if you had a small hose to put over the fuel ine and a can or something to catch the gas in when it starts pumping. If nothing comes out with the key on the your fuel pump or fuse for the pump is bad.
