Question about 2001 Ford Taurus
Not shifting to overdrive
Could be low or dirty (contaminated) fluid , pull the stick and check the level and look at the fluid on a clean white paper towel.. if any really black gunk appears or fluid is a dark brown, time for fluid/filter change...also check detent (downshift ) cable at the tbi unit all the cables usually meet at the same spot throttle etc.. be sure it is not broken or disconnected..good luck..
