If the wheel cylinder is leaking, for a $15 part I would replace it.

Leaking brake fluid at valve box on firewall ,hat it is calleddont know w

if you have fluid leaking where you say, then I would suggest you get a new master cylinder or if you can a repair kit (don't think you can get these now though). the fluid is getting past the seals in the main cylinder that is connected to the brake peddle, any leak here is dangerous as it can lead to sudden loss of brakes.

CHECK YOUR MASTER CYLINDER OR WHEEL CYLINDER LINES IN THE WHEELS THEY WEAR OUT AFTER TIME AND THE RUBBER ON THE LINES CRACK AND ALSO I HAVE KNOWN THAT MY NEIGHBORS HAD THIS PROBLEM, THE SQUIRRELS CHEWED THE BRAKE LINES AND THE FLUID LEAKED OUT.

Whats the next componite from the master cyclinder in the brake system on a 2002 kia spectra, it is leaking and i don't know what its called or what to do.

the item is called a power boostervacuum pressure to help your power brakes operate properly. You probably have a bad master cylinder because the fluid you see leaking probably is coming out of the rear seal on your master cylinder where the brake plunger rod goes thru the booster right into your master cylinder..You need to remove your master cylinder and the brake lines attached to them first to check it out. Depending on how long it has been leaking you power booster may still ok as long as the brake fluid hasn't ruined you diaphragm in you power booster..

Replaced rear breaks, 2007 spectra, breal pedel is solf, goes to the floor. how do I firm up break pedel, never broke any lines.

You have to check that rear brake cylinders doe's not leak fluid. Check your master fluid reservoir when you pump the brakes.
You have to bleed air from the system, and check the vacuum hose at the master brake cylinder.

have your lines checked for leaks. if the rear brakes are drum brakes check your wheel cylinders (look under the back of the car and if the back of one tire is dry and ther other is wet and its all up into your wheel well theres your culpret). check your brake calipers to make sure fluid isn't slowly leaking past the piston (that could get ugly VERY quick and you would lose brakes and it always seems to happen on a hill too) if those are fine i would check your master cylinder

Stopping problem is totally unrelated to alternator. There should be a rubber hose between the engine and the brake booster behind the master cylinder. Make sure that it, as well as any other vacuum hoses are connected. If you can get it running, listen for loud sucking sound from leak.

have the brakes bleed first and if that does not take care of the problem have the master cylinder checked because the check valve in the master cylinder could be bad
