On my 2004 dodge stratus the door lock switch on the drivers side does not unlock the doors. It will lock all of the doors and the windows but it just will not unlock. The passenger side still works for...

I have answered this subject many times: it is a bad BCM or Body Control Module. The problem begins intermittently, but progresses during two to three years and finally inutilizes all door locks. As BCM repair and removal from the dash is a real pain, I resorted to disconnect the wiring to the BCM and paid a much lower price to a Car Alarm installer to put an inexpensive alarm that comes with its own remote. In that way I use the new remote to lock-unlock and the original one to set the original alarm-inmobilizer. Amclaussen.

Passenger window operates intermittingly. When it

The problem could be in the master window switch on the drivers door, or the window motor could be going out, but most likely the cause is a broken wire inside of the weather boot that runs between the door and the body of the vehicle, and the broken wire is making intermittent contact because the door is being opened and closed all the time, and sometimes the wire will touch and make the connection and that is why it only works sometimes.

Try this the next time that the window stops working, hold the window switch down in whatever direction that you want the window to go (up or down) and while holding the switch in that position open and close the drivers side door and move or wiggle around the weather boot that contains the wiring that is between the door and the body of the vehicle, and do the same for the passenger side door, if the window starts working while you are holding down the window switch and opening and closing the door or moving around the weather boot between the door and the body of the vehicle, then there is a broken wire or even wires that will need to be repaired.

The broken wire can be on either the passenger side, or most likely on the drivers side, and if you do find a broken wire or wires, then you should repair the wires by soldering them well and use the same gage wire if you need to lengthen the wire to repair it successfully, and do not use a wire connector if you want the repair to last.

Pasenger window only goes up and down with drivers controls

The pasenger side window button may be bad or wire hornest that runs from pasenger side kick panel in door jam, to the inside of the door. open passenger side door there will be a rubber boot between the door hinges.pull the rubber boot back and check for broken wires.

Security alarm on so car won't start

24,
Try locking/unlocking the passenger door with the key into the door lock to reset the alarm system. If the passenger side doesn't work, then try the driver side. Good luck.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica passenger doors have no power

If your alarm went off, it could be that someone had tried to break into your car. They most likely may have cut some of the wires inside your door with what ever device they may have been using. Look for evidence between the bottom of the windows and doors where the problem is. If not, then it is possible that your automatic window assemblies are malfunctioning. Do you hear the motors run on the windows when you go up or down with the switch? I also have a Pacifica, 2005, however no window problems yet.

Good Luck,

Ray

Rear passenger side door will not open

the problem would be the wiring on the door, possible a break in the wire, therefore the window and the central locking isnt working, possibly the earth wire is broken, open the front passenger door and u should see a sleeve connecting to the rear door, that is where the wiring to the door is, check ! also i would check the fuses. thanks
