SOURCE: 95 dodge dakota heater blower not working

It has been a long time since I've replaced one of those. From what I remember you don't have to go through pulling the heater box out. You do need to remove the glove box assembly. Look up under the passenger side of the dash. If you see the bulge of the motor/cover hanging straight down then remove the cover and the motor will be there. If you don't see that then te motor is mounted horizonally. If that is the case then the fresh air door assembly will need to be removed and it is behind that.
Here is a quick check to see if the motor is bad. Thump the bottom of the heater box by the passenger's feet. if the motor comes alive or makes noise then it is bad. Also check the fuse and make sure that it doesn't work on any speed. (the resistor would prevent operation on only one speed or more but generally not all speeds)

FIRST THING MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL FUSES UNDER DASH AND IN POWER DISTRIBUTOIN BOX UNDER HOOD LET ME KNOW TAKE TEST LIGHT SEE IF ANY VOLTAGE ON MOTOR IF SO BAD MOTOR IF NO VOLTAGE THEN LOCATE THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR FOR SPEED CONTROL....COMMON PROBLEM... THIS COULD BE LOCATED UNDER DASH ON PASSENGER SIDE IN THE HEATER CORE BOX OR UNDER HOOD PASSENGER SIDE NEAR FIRE WALL...THEY ARE ALSO COMMON FOR BURNING OPEN CAUSING NO FAN

SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Dakota heater blower just quit working,

It could be the blower motor resistor module. It is located on the passengers side next to the blower motor.Make sure the connections are not melted.Because if they are you will have to replace them also.Hoope this helps.Good luck.

sounds like a heater core problem. Your heater blower is behind the heater core. If it is leaking, you will be blowing engine coolant vapors onto your window. Good luck

More details are needed however it is most commonly, the fan motor. Be sure to check your coolant level as well. If the fan still works and your coolant level is good, then you may want to check the heater control valve, located on the hoses to your heater core. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Do you know how to carefully feel heater hoses to see if coolant getting to heater core is hot enough? Has thermostat been changed lately, and coolant system flushed?

IF I HAVE A LITTLE LEAK OF ANTIFREEZE ON MY DRIVER SIDE UNDER THE DASH BUT THE DEFROST STILL WORKS, WOULD THAT BE MY HEATER CORE? THE HEAT DOESNT WORK BUT THE DEFROST IS LUKE WARM

I would say that it's your heater core that has a leak or one of the connections in the dash near it. There's nothing else inside the dash area that would be leaking antifreeze. Make sure you are keeping the levels of coolant up to specs and take care of that asap. Good luck!

1999 Dodge Dakota heater does not blow hot air.

It is most likely a closed or mostly closed thermostat, cheap fix and very common.
