SOURCE: door sticking
I had the same exact problem in my 2006. When it went into the shop I told them. They took a look at it and told me that they needed to be lubricated and cleaned out. I live in a rural area and drive on a lot of dirt roads. Apparently dirt had gotten into the locking mechanism and gummed it up. They fixed it for me last May and I haven't had a problem since. This may or may not be your issue too but I hope it helps.

you have a broken ear on the outer door handle, you can buy a replacement at your local parts store, you will have to remove the inner door panel to change it.

You have a problem with the linkage that goes from the inside handle to the door mechanism. You need to take off the door lining and make an inspection. It could be a broken clip, spring, retainer or a little over centre mechanism that has seized up. Should be an easy fix once you can see whats happening with the door liner off.

It should only take any shop, auto repair or body shop an hour to replace it. Example, our shop charges $80.00/hour. The part is available at the dealer and on average price is $50.00 or you can get a used one at an auto recycler (wrecking yard) for about $30.00.
