Question about 2001 Pontiac Sunfire
The car is a 2001 pontiac sunfire bought used for my 16 yo daughter. The key acts jammed, after you giggle it for a few mins it seems to start. This was bought from a lot and does not have the orinigal keys.
Ok, i am a locksmith and it sounds as if the key is bad. I come across this everyday on the road. The best thing to do is go to a accreditied locksmith and have it cut a new key by key code. I good locksmith will be able to read the key and cut it by looking at it. Hope that helps. Also, please dont put wd40 in any lock, it s only really good for water dispalcement, and not locks, its dries them out. Use a good lubricate like liquid wrench in the yellow or blue cans.
