Follow the top radiator hose down to the motor to the housing the will either be 10mm. or 13mm.

most likely your thermostste is not opening. when you start the vehicle does it climb slowely or just shoot streight to hot on start up. if it goes to hot right off the bat you need to change the sensor that runs from the cluster pannel to the waterpump houseing

Yes it could be the thermostst. If you have no way to check the actual temperature of the engine and the thermostst hasn't been changed recently then I would go ahead and replace it. If that doesn't help you could have a plugged or restricted heater core or a blend door problem among other things. Good luck.

follow top rad hose to motor under housing where hose connects put new one in the correct way spring goes to engine side

My jeep keeps throwing a 1281 code I have changed thermostst twice 195 deg I put a new coolant temp sensor in also but still keeps throwing this code


CODE PO1281 ENGINE IS COLD TOO LONG.INSPECT FOR LOW COOLANT LEVEL OR AN INCORRECT MIXTURE.USE CODE SCANNER TO ERASE CODE.AFTER YOU MAKE A REPAIR ON ENGINE YOU NEED TO ERASE CODE OR IT WILL KEEP TURNING ON.
