I am assuming you mean the engine cranks but does not start.
Someone will need to find out if you have spark to the plugs, fuel to the injectors, and normal compression to proceed with testing.

Two items that fail most frequently are the fuel pump (which you replaced) and the crank position sensor (11 o'clock on the bellhousing looking from the rear) That can also give you similar symptoms. Problem is it may give you good readings if you test it while it's working correctly. It's a pain to install and isn't very cheap so, I suggest you get a haynes or chilton manual and a digital multi-meter and follow test procedures before buying anything further. Could be that or just a loose wire somewhere. You can also get a code test done free at most major parts outlets. Won't hurt to have that checked as well!!
Good luck...any questions about specific parts etc, just ask!!

SOURCE: 98 jeep wrangler wont start. no spark from coil.

there is only two things left. the crank sensor that is located at the top of the transmission bellhousing or the pick up inside of the dist. it is that black plate that sits between the cap and the dist housing. hope that helps.

My 89 jeep cherokee won't. Start it will turn over

what motor? is the coil producing spark?? If so, check the fuel pressure, if the fuel pressure is low drop the tank, repace the pump and also replace the filter (located on the frame forward of the tank). If the coil is not producing spark, check for shorts or opens in the circuits as well as the IGN fuses. If there is NO fuel pressure at all check the fuel pump fuses and make sure the fuel pump is plugged in and there are no opens in the circuit

Possible that the cylinder is flooded and so it will be best to remove the PLUGS and flush by cranking out the excess fuel. Now test the GAP on the plugs, reset to specification.
Also check the spark intensity. If low check the coils and HT wires.
