The Nissan Altima Hybrid is a midsize sedan that offers 5-passenger all the style, comfort and technology with the gasoline version, but with benefits in fuel economy and reduced emissions. In September 2002, Nissan and Toyota signed a basic agreement in which Nissan will supply components to Toyota Hybrid System (transaxle, inverter, battery and control unit) allowing Nissan to produce 100,000 hybrid vehicles within five years. Nissan will supply gasoline and electric motor means that the Altima hybrid will lead very different from the Toyota Prius.http://www.greenautozone.net/2010-nissan...

How to reset the oil light in my 2008 nissan altima

According to Nissan owners club online - - -
There are 2 square buttons on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel. Push the left one to get to the maintenance screen and push the right one to change the "oil", "oil filter", or tire schedules. Don't worry about "other".
To reset, highlight the number and just hit "back", to reset it automatically. It takes a while but you'll figure it out.

Can't get change oil light to go off after having oil changed.

If you are getting an Maintenance Oil light then that is a reminder to have your oil changed...You will need to reset the mainteince light.
To reset "Maint. Notice" on the display, turn the ignition key on (do not start)...with engine off. select the "Maintenance Schedule' key by using the button to right or left. Using the button select the "Reset" key and push the "Enter" button. This should be outlined in your in owners manual as well. The oil pressure or low oil light looks like a little genie oil lamp. The Maint. Tire is the same concept, it's a reminder to check your tires pressure or do a rotation on them.
I hope this helps.
