How do I replace my alternater belt in my Mazda 626 lx

If the alternator is on the top in the open, just loosen the alternator bolts a little bit. Then push the alternator to loosen the belt to remove it. Do the opposite to put the new belt on.

If the alternator is buried under a lot of other things, it's a lot tougher job.
Hope this helps.

Car dies and battery light comes on

If the light is on when car is running, the alternator is still not working. Check your power distribution center near the battery for any fuses out. Maybe there is an alternator fuse.
Is your battery good? A completely dead battery may not take a charge from the alternator. It needs to be charged off the car. Have it load tested at a parts store to see if it's good.
Is your alternator belt tight? A loose belt won't let the alternator work to capacity.

I just had my belt and new battery put in 2 month`s later it start`s sqeeling and stall`s my battry is drained and the belt and alternator is good

it sounds like the car was running on the battery alone. are you sure your alternator is functioning properly? have you had it tested?

My alternater will be fine then it drops off to 9 volts. I have had my alternater bench checked and they say it's good so i replaced my battery. all cables and connections are good but it only works...

If it tested good during a bench test, and the problem was intermittent, the test was not done long enough to simulate the problem with voltage output. Replace the alternator.

Lites "click" when i try starting. Car started w/ a jump. Ran for 30 minutes turned off. Wont start. Alternator? Or just battery?

sounds like alternater is not charging-however you should charge the battery and have it tested-if the battery is getting weak it can cause the alternater to over work causing a failure

Battery warning light remains on

Your altenator is broken or the belt that drives it is loose or broken.

Replace the battery first with a new one , at least to test it, if battery is not fully charging it may be the cause. After check that the alternator belt is well in place, with a good grip and is not squealing. If not you may fix it just replacing the belt or putting it back in tension.
More likely it is a problem with the alternator.
There is a factory recall on 2005 Murano alternator, if this is your model contact Nissan, as you may be entitled to a free repair job at your local concessionary.

If not you will have to replace the alternator, in this case I suggest contacting a qualified mechanic.
