How to replace fog lights on 1998 Dodge Avenger ES

Just wondering how to replace the fog lights, or even just the bulb, on a 1998 Dodge Avenger ES, i love this car, but with only one fog light working at night, its ashame lol Thanks for the help

    just bought a 2005 dodge Dakota 4x4 fog lights didn't work I replaced the bulbs and checked the fuze whats my problem

You need to take off the buttom shields and then you should be able to get to the fog lights

    take a flat head pull the center then you can use needle nose pliers and pull out

Check the light bulbs themselves. If those are still good, (don't touch the glass on the bulb), then check all your fuses. Chances are, the foglight fuse is linked in with something else.

Changing fog lights


you can take loose the black plastic shield that runs from inner fender to bottom of bumper. once loose you gain access to back of fog light where mounting bolts are located if its just the bulb your replacing you can also do that without removing it

2008 Dodge Avenger SE - Short in lights but where??


Just because the bulbs look fine, doesn't mean they are. Start with the bulb replacement. If this doesn't solve it, and it has under 36K, it should still be under factory warranty. Shouldn't cost anywhere near $200 either way.

try to replace the flasher. it is round and has either two or three prongs on it. it should be by the fuse box.

lol. u have to take the hole tail light out . find the wing nuts in the trunk and away you go.
