Question about 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser

2 Answers

My 1998 Toyota Landcruiser engine is vibrating and hesitating.

I live in Washington, D.C. and it was 27 degrees this morning. I started my SUV and let it warm up. When I went to drive off my engine started shaking and hesitating. Could you give me some opinions of what might be the problem? Thanks.

I think you could check a couple things. Always check the simplest and cheapest first. Your engine could be out of time. Adj your timing. You could have broken a motor mount. Look for a crack in the rubber. If there is you can change it, and no you don't need to take the motor out to replace it. Jack up that side, brace it, remove the old one, replace with new one. Water in the gas may make it run rough also. I notice this most when I'm low on gas. add some iso heat and gas. good luck.

My 1998 gmc sonoma wont start when cold. fuel pressure is 60lbs. ive changed thermostat sensor cap rotor wires new battery. i cant figure it out please help

A VERY COMMON CAUSE OF THAT IS THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR, YOU WILL NEED TO VERIFY PROPER OPERATION WITH A LIVE DATA SCANNER, BEFORE U TURN IT ON IN MORNINGS OR COLD, COLD ENGINE LOOK FOR CTS READING IT MAY READ -40 DEGREES, IF SO THEN SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING, BUT WILL NOT SET A "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LAMP WARNING. OTHER WAY TO CHECK IS TO DISCONNECT SENSOR, I AM ASSUMING THAT WEATHER IS ABOVE 20 DEGREES. LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELPS, CAN ASSIST YOU FURTHER WITH UPDATES
