Where to cut keys for my honda accord

I would try a few ace hardware locations. Some will cut a blank, that you provide and some wont. Its a gamble.

They need to have a special machine to cut honda keys, kinda like a mill. My ace charged $45 to cut a honda key.

Is there keys already cut that starts a 1998 honda accord v6 for sale or do i need to buy a new ignition switch. Lost mine

talk with a locksmith as there is a key code on the barrel of the switch and he should be able to cut a key to that code
if no code he will be able to remove the barrel and cut new keys from the tumbler positions
the only thing is that although he can cut keys , if it needs keys that work an immobilizer they can be expensive
if you are buying this car , then the seller should have the keys

Need keys for a 1984 cutlass

Unless you have the original and can have a new key cut at a place that cuts keys, you will need to go to a dealership. You'll need a gov't issued ID matching your name on the title.

I lost my key for an 98 ford explorer and i just got a key made but wont trun the locksmith made a key from the door lock we put it in the ignition but it wont trun

There should be 8 cuts total on the key. While the door and the ignition share some of the same cuts you cannot get all the cuts from one cylinder. I believe that the door cylinder only uses 6 cuts and the ignition cylinder uses 7 cuts. The cut closest to the head of the key is #1 and the cut closest to the tip is #8. If I remember correctly the ignition cylinder uses cuts 1 - 7 and the door cylinder uses cuts 3 - 8.If the locksmith cannot decode the ignition cylinder you can try to contact you local ford dealer and see if they can find a key code and cut a key from that otherwise you may have to replace your ignition cylinder.

I had a transponder key cut for my 02 galant but it wont stay started. Is there any onboard programming options?

if you had this key cut at the local hardware store, all it is good for is unlocking the doors. you need a key cut at the dealer to work with your security system interlock, otherwise this is the problem you will have.

if this key was cut at the dealer and doesnt work, go back, because something went wrong with the programming.

good luck!

Need key cut for jaguar x-type

hey cheeriospapy,

Unfortunately the key you bought on-line is going to be no good, jaguar keys cannot be cut by any after-market company. When ever a customer comes into the dealership he has to give the vin number to the parts department. They then send an order to the company that cuts the keys specifically to the car. Thats why know one will be able to cut it.

They key also has to be programed to the car which the dealership charges .5 hrs worth of labor to do. So needless to say a replacement key is fairly expensive.
