If you have some water dispersant (WD-40) or a light mineral oil put this on your key and / or a small amount in your lock hopefully this will get you out of strife.

Your car may have had a new ignition switch installed - hence the different key. The FOB may not be programmed properly to lock / unlock. Have you contacted a MB dealer?

What causes my gear shift to lock in park

Manufacturers have designed the shifters to lock in the Park position. This is to prevent children from accidentally moving the shifter out of Park if they are playing behind the wheel (as they should not be of course). The ignition must be in the ON position, with the brake pedal pressed, to release the shifter from PARK. If there is a malfunction, most cars have a bypass release button hidden near the shifter. Check your owners manual for details if needed.

Bmw door lockremote wont lock/unlock doors and key wont fit doors to turn only

Key wont fit the door? Then the key you have is not the key for that car. Hence the remote will not unlock the car.

Changed battery now no power

Yes this is a problem, unfortunately you may have to bring it to a Volkswagen dealer for them to fix this issue. First try to lock and unlock the drivers side door with the Key instead of the automatic unlock button on the remote. If this doesn't work continue to insert the key into the ignition turn it to the on position, do not try to start it yet, and pump the gas peddle three times holding down the third time, then try to start the car.
