Question about 1984 Cadillac DeVille
I have an 84 DeVille Limo that is having some serious issues. 1. engine runs as if misfiring - replaced plugs/wires/cap/rotor (have not checked for vacuum leak yet) 2. idle is high - have replaced MAF sensor/idle control valve/ECU 3. occasionally when I hit the gas the car lags/bogs down and feels as if it is going to stop/stall/die 4. while driving, when trying to accelerate into passing gear on the highway or going up hill upon acceleration the car will either shift very hard into passing gear and/or rev up and sound like I am pushing the car beyond it's limits and either hold speed or start to drop in speed regardless of how hard I hit the gas - I recently had the transmission fluid and oil changed which did not help 5. last one... yesterday my heater started rattling/vibrating/clunking even on low - I have a feeling the heater core/motor needs to be replaced but not sure where it is located Can anyone help with any of these problems?

I'd start by tracing the fuel supply and return lines from the gas tank to the engine compartment. Make sure that they are free of kinks or other damage.
Next, check the fuse box and make sure there is power to the fuel pump. Trace the electrical connections leaving the fuel tank and make sure they weren't torn or otherwise damaged by the tire tread.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Check fuel pressure at idle it should read 30psi. If you have a weak fuel pump it will act just like you describe. Located intake and replace the fuel filter.
