High octane booster cleans the fuel injector by working as an oxidizing agent when it is put in your vehicle.

SOURCE: 92 chrysler LeBaron v-6 convertible cuts out

did you check the throttle position sensor? Or, the fuel filter? the filter on my 92 lebaron is just a canister in front (towards the front of the car) of the gas tank. My tps went bad and it was causing the engine to cut out at random intervals. If you can get a multimeter, i can walk you through checking the tps for correct/wrong readings.

SOURCE: Treated gas for moisture. Got high octane additive.

Even a small amount of bad gas can cause your problem.
So the first thing you need to do is remove your fuel tank so you can drain all of the old fuel out, then remove the fuel sending unit and fuel pump assembly thats in your fuel tank and clean the filter screen, after that you can reinstall the fuel tank, replace your fuel filter and I would have a fuel injector sevice done.
Unless you are very skilled in automotive repair, leave this one to a pro.

Wrong Octane?
Your engine should use regular gas. But you might be getting some low grade gas. You can try using a higher octane fuel. Or try adding a octane booster.

Tip

Why to Use a fuel with the lowest required octane in the car?

Low-octane "regular" gas is usually all that is required. Octane is only a rating of the fuel's resistance to engine-damaging pre-ignition ("knock") in high-performance engines (that few people have). Low octane gas is less expensive and a better value if that's all your engine requires. Best case scenario you're wasting money by filling up with a higher than recommended grade of gas. Worst case scenario that high octane fuel is building up damaging carbon deposits in your engine because it's not being burned as completely as lower octane fuel would be. Check your owner's manual to be sure. Modern high performance cars will sometimes recommend higher octane fuels because they are engineered to use those fuels. The use of lower than recommended octane will not make your car explode, the ECM (Engine Control Module, aka:computer) will adjust the fuel injectors and spark timing to save the engine and compensate for you cheaping out at the pump. Those adjustments will consist of retarding the spark (reducing power and efficiency) as well as dumping lots of extra fuel into the cylinders to cool them, potentially costing you more than getting mid grade or premium IF that's what your car requires. NOTE: Remember that engines need less octane at higher altitudes. If your engine does not "knock" on regular, paying more for a higher octane rating is a waste since the increased octane makes no significant improvement to gas mileage and it is no better for your engine. All available fuels have detergent and additive packages. This will help.good luck.

Been using 87 octane in '02 maxima for 1yr. have replaced oxy & nkock sensors. Is this due to low octane?

Ok the 2002 Maxima 3.5 requires premium fuel 91 octane. According to the owners manual for optimum performance use 91 octane, you can use 87 octane unless you get pinging sounds. Sounds like you just need to use the proper octane. Occasionally I will run regular 87 and can really feel a loss of power. When I use 91 octane the car is a rocket ship.

Needs to know the best recommended fuel type for my toyota corolla 1993 model

Hi!!

You should be using regular unleaded. This is "regular" 87-octane gasoline. You have no reason to need gas with a higher octane, it would be a waste, stick to 87.

Good luck!!

I have a 2000 lincoln navigator and it needs a tune up... How hard is it to perform the tune up

It's easy to do, except the plugs. As far as a tune-up, the only thing i would recommend is new plugs, air filter, fuel filter, clean the throttle body, and run a octane booster through a tank of gas. I prefer not to use a basic injector cleaner so I use a 104 octane booster.

Keep your services up also on the transmission. Try this simple fix, get some octane booster and injector cleaner and put them into the tanks $8. Hopefully this will help break off the carbon deposits in the injectors and give you a smooth economical ride. Good luck
