Save your money & add none

No Genie in a bottle is needed or will

SOURCE: Treated gas for moisture. Got high octane additive.

Even a small amount of bad gas can cause your problem.
So the first thing you need to do is remove your fuel tank so you can drain all of the old fuel out, then remove the fuel sending unit and fuel pump assembly thats in your fuel tank and clean the filter screen, after that you can reinstall the fuel tank, replace your fuel filter and I would have a fuel injector sevice done.
Unless you are very skilled in automotive repair, leave this one to a pro.

only the mechanic can answer that, he's the one looking at the car. If he diagnosed a bad valve, get it fixed., then see if it made a difference.

SOURCE: Someone sugared my gas tank. i have a chrysler 300

First off it is a myth that sugar will destroy an engine. Sugar will not dissolve in gasoline. Depending on how much sugar was added it could clog the fuel pump sock filter. You have drained the tank, so add 5 gallons of fuel to the tank and start the engine. It will do no harm whatsoever. You may have to change the fuel filter a few times if the sugar clogs it but otherwise no harm will be done.

My 1999 pontaic Montana starts but wont stay on what could that be?

There are many symptoms which could cause this problem... electrical, fuel, ignition, etc... determine your error codes and start from there. If the Van has been sitting for some time I would add an octane booster and gas dryer, disconnect the fuel filter and allow ~ 1 gallon of gas to drain into a 2 gallon gas can, replace the fuel filter and see what happens. If that didn't work I would work through the ODB II codes to find the probable cause.

With my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van, I have trouble fueling the vehicle. The nozzle keeps shutting off as if the gas tank is full. What do I need to do?

Usually a sign of a blockage in the vent pipe inside the filler tube, or the vent for the gas tank. Air pressure inside the tank has to be equalized as the fuel is added.

Can I clean my injectors and carbonator with Performance Octane Booster

High octane booster cleans the fuel injector by working as an oxidizing agent when it is put in your vehicle.

If gas mileage drops dramatically (20 mpg to 12), what can be wrong?

I would suggest more than a minor tune-up depending on what has not been replaced over the years. I would suggest using an OEM plug. The platinum series or within that area on a 4-6 cylin. can make the engine skip or use just as much gas. I would also change the fuel filter and I personally don't use any injector cleaner. I use Lucas or a good octane booster which is a 109 octane bottle of gas. It cleans the fuel system well. Use 1 bottle for every 10 gallons of regular gas. The plugs are mainly the source to look at as one could be misfiring and you not know it. There could be other issues but you get deep into the issues of what causes the MPG to drop.

Have ford e-co-van 1 ton 350 series, 460 engine.1989

Ethanol really causes problems in cars that sit around. Thanks for us going green huh?It decomposes non-metal parts in the gas system. If the car sits around for something like 6 weeks the gas does go bad.You have to siphon the tank as much as possible. When filling up,add octane boost first then gas.It still may not work though.I did all that for a scooter and it still didn't work.So if you try it,when you add gas, probably only use 4 or 5 gallons,so you don't waste too much money if it doesn't work, and it is enough to mix the octane boost fairly well.Good luck bro'!That's all i have for now.And gas is gas no matter where you buy it.All those additives the companies claim clean this or that is just sales.Since fuel injection came out, companies are required to add a certain amount of detergent to keep injectors clean anyways. And 93 octane is not better than 87 octane enough to pay 20 cents more per gallon.

Keep your services up also on the transmission. Try this simple fix, get some octane booster and injector cleaner and put them into the tanks $8. Hopefully this will help break off the carbon deposits in the injectors and give you a smooth economical ride. Good luck

When my 2002 Windstar is warmed up it starts pinging when accelerating especially going up an incline. I was told there is plug I can unplug which changes the timing by 2 degree's

Timing is only one of many causes of "pinging".
Before altering the factory setting or connections, please do each of the following:
1. Change your oil and filter.
2. Add fuel system cleaner to your gas tank.
3. Spray fuel injector cleaner into your air intake (after the air filter) while the engine is running. (Do this slowly enough to not stall the engine.)
4. If you use "off-brand" gas, consider adding a $1.00 bottle of Octane Booster - from the Dollar Store.

I suspect that one of the above will correct the problem. If the Octane Booster corrects the problem, then you do have a timing problem (too far advanced). Take it to the Ford dealer and ask if they have a Service Bulletin on the engine due to pinging - and ask how they would alter the timing. Then either do it yourself or pay them a pre-agreed amount to ****** the timing 2 degrees (no more!!)
