Brian you must take the door interior trim panel off to do this look and find little covers that you need to take off then slide the trim panel up after getting this off take and look where the door latches there are retainers that you need to dismount and 3 outer screw on outside door edge take those out and replace then go back in reverse

Fuse box

Likely a bad switch. If the locks work from the Passenger side try removing that switch and hook it up to the drivers door. This will help your determine if it's a switch issue. Not likely a fuse issue.

98 Chev Blazer. power lock problem. driver's door would not unlock doors, now it will not lock doors. passenger side works fine

you may just have a bad connection under the lock button under switch panel on your drivers door. check electrical plug in at door lock switch by removing that panel from driver door.it may be that you have to replace that door lock switch .thers only one fuse for door locks and if pass side works, it's not blown.

Locks are continually locking and unlocking

There are two suspects: the keyless entry fobs and either the driver or passenger lock switch. Try moving the fobs out of range of the vehicle (they have a LONG range) or removing the batteries from both. If problem continues, try unplugging each of the door lock switches in the front door, one at a time.
To access the connector for the inside door lock switches, remove the little rubber cover in the bottom of the cup that you pull the door shut from the inside of the vehicle. It's shaped like a popsicle stick. Remove the two screws (they may be Torx head) and lift the entire switch plate up. Release the little tab to free the connector.

Door and Boot Locks

the problem lies in the drivers side operating switch for the central locking .this would involve removing the drivers side door handle and checking the switch mechanism thats built into the lock, havent done one o n this model only a opel astra ---but they are different from the opel although the car looks the same ,well similar pull it off have a go ,the key barrel must turn something so look for an internal switching or external switching and see if the spring is ok that returns the switch

Program my remote

Program your factory keyless entry functions
For 2001+ Tacomas equipped with a factory alarm or keyless entrymag-glass_10x10.gif, here are some programming options that allow you to adjust the way your locks work.
The first programming option allows you to set the entry unlock to: (A) unlock the driver door with one push, and the remaining doors with a second push OR (B) unlock all of the doors with a single push.
  • Open the driver's door. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • (Complete these steps within 40 seconds)
    1. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 2 times.
      (IN - OUT - IN - OUT)
    2. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    3. Insert the key into and remove it from the ignition switch 1 time.
      (IN - OUT)
    4. Close, then open the driver's door 2 times.
      (SHUT - OPEN - SHUT - OPEN)
    5. Insert the key into the ignition switch and leave it in.
    6. Close the driver's door.
    7. Turn the key from LOCK to ON 4 times, ending at LOCK
      (LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK - ON - LOCK)
    8. Wait for the locks to stop, then remove the key from the ignition switch.
  • On the key fob, press and release both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time.
    1. [For all doors unlock] press and release the UNLOCK button.
    2. [For driver door unlock] press and release the LOCK button.
  • Open the driver's door. The programming is complete. If programming did not occur, start over.
