Question about 2007 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 Sedan
I have reported a fault to Stratstone Aberdeen a yaer ago , but still despite many many days in their workshop thay cannot repair it .Funny messages appear on the display sreen, and when this happens the Radio/CD will not operate. Also all the time the volume of the radio/CD goes up and down of its own accord. Now Jaguar want to recall to their Factory . I am not too keen on this for obvious reasons.
Any suggestions what to do

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

You should reboot the system, sometimes these cars hicup so to speak.
Disconnect the battery, both sides, then with it still disconnected turn the key to crank 3-4 times (with the battery disconnected, this just discharges all the ecu's and clears any held memorys)
Reconnect the battery (pos + first)
After that you need to relearn the windows, with the key on or the car running send the windows all the way up, then one at a time, hold the button to bring 1 down and continue to hold for 5 seconds once it is all the way down, do the same for the up position, repeat on the other side and you should be good to go.

I suspect this could be your battery at fault.
Get it heavy discharge tested first.

If I am understanding your post, I believe you do have a levelling
system and it should be near your light switch on the dash. It is
the type of switch that you depress first, it then springs out and
you turn the small knob (just like your instrument panel lights
adjuster next to it.) What you do not have perhaps, if your car is
not fitted with HIDs (high intensity headlamps), is the automatic
levelling system which is a legal requirement when HIDs are fitted
due to the high power of the lights....
if you don't have a self-levelling system then you'll have a manual
system, operated by a knob under the light switch so that you can
adjust to compensate for a heavy load in the rear of the car.
