SOURCE: Bleeding clutch slave cylinder

i think youre doing the right thing. they are very stubborn to bleed because the hyd. line goes up high across back of engine before droppiing back down to slave cyl., trapping air. could try to gravity bleed by opening bleeder at slave, cap off of master cyl, full with fluid then it may start to come out after a bit. then try your process again. or can try to bleed at connections further up the line, working your way back to bleeder. hope this helps. be patient.

SOURCE: 94 honda del sol's engine revs up and down

I know exactly what you are talking about, it will go high to about 2 to 4k rpms, then back down to 1k in intervals of about 3 seconds. It is either the idle air position sensor, or the throttle body position sensor, hondas are famous for it. The parts are cheap, about $20-$30, and fairly easy to install when you find it. I suggest a Haynes Manual for installation to make it a lot easier if you don't know where it is. Good luck, hope all goes well.

How do you replace the carpet on a 1994 Honda del Sol

You have to unbolt and remove all the seats from inside the vehicle. Also, the front seat belt anchors have to be unbolted and all the door sill plastic trim and kick panel plastic trims have to be unscrewed and removed. Last but not least, the center console has to be unscrewed and lifted out of the car. It's all possible, if you can find all the screws to remove and have lots of time and patience for this task.

Loss of braking ability

What most likely happened is when the strut was replaced the brake line/hose was open to be removed from strut. when ever the brake lines are open the entire braking system needs to be bleed. This can be done by pumping brake pedal and holding in the down position and with a 10mm wrench opening int brake caliper bleeder screws and letting the air out of the system. Repeat this until the only a stream of pure brake fluid is seen coming out of caliper. Make sure to keep brake reservoir full at all time. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

When I engage the clutch, sometimes it makes a whining sound.

If it is a throw-out bearing it will only make noise when pressure is applied to clutch pedal, there is also a pilot bearing that will squeel with clutch in if bad. when doing a clutch replacement all these parts should be replaced.

As silly as it sounds, I got stuck for about an hour at a grocery store because my 94 wouldn't start. I tried everything! Nothing worked. The problem was my clutch wasn't going down far enough because my floor mat was in between!!!! ROTFL Was very embarrassed but very relieved it wasn't something huge. I was surprised how many people have actually experienced this.
