Re: lost my fluid from my power steering
Normally what it is its not the power steering reservour itself but the hose has gone bad fill it back up with fluid put the cap back on and while the car is running turn the wheel left and right several times and this will get the air out of the system and at the same time help you find the leak

sounds like you either lost your fan belt, or you have a seized up alternator, or belt tensioner. The fan belt [ drive belt ] turns the alternator to charge the battery, the power steering pump to make easy steering , and the water pump cooling your engine. Do you smell rubber burning? hear a squealing noise? or rattling noise. Open your engine bonnet, start the car up, and look at the drive belt and pulleys. They should all be turning. If this is the problem you will see something seized up. Also if you have let the power steering pump run out of oil, it may also be seized. Good luck with it
anything from a slipping belt to a pressure pipe leaking ,even dry steering joints ,try putting some engine oil on top of the mc pherson strut ,under the bonnet and where the 3 bolts are in the middle is a bearing underneath and if it has plastic cover on top lift this out and introduce a few squirts of engine oil ,not that fish oil spray and leave the oil to soak down and this will lubricate the bearing .Other than that i have no idea without my head under the bonnet iam afraid .
Check that you have power steering fluid in system. power steering fluid is red. look for bottle with red fluid in under bonnet (US:Hood. Also check all belts on engine ok, and no suspicious damp patches where you park the card regular.
