Question about 2005 Honda Accord

1 Answer

The battery of my car decomposed, and I tried to deposit the code to start the radio, nevertheless it did not prove (later I saw that the numbers that it had deposited were bad), so I came to the limit of attempts, and now it marks "mistake". How can I restart the radio to deposit the code?

you need to obtain the serial number from the cd player itself , which is generally on the top or side of the body of the unit .
you will need to either pull t he unit out with a special key sets or go to a ford dealer and provide all of the prove of ownership, vin number and serial number and get them to retrieve the code through the system .
beware it will cost you?

Take your title and registration to a Honda dealership, along with the radio serial and they can give you the code. The reg. and title is to prove you currently own the vehicle.

Had my battery changed and now radio isn't working. It says err. Is there a code to plug in? 1999 honda accord. Thanks ...

Yes there is a code, most dealerships put the code in the manuel for the car it would be four numbers long usually in ink pen. If not contact any honda dealership and they will give you the number to call so you can get the correct code you will need proof of ownership, vin registration drivers license to prove it is not a stolen radio.

I have an 04 Honda and recently the battery was disconnected. When I started it, I am getting an "error e" on the stereo display. I don't have the manual or the code. Any help getting the radio unlocked...

The dealer should have an unlock code but they require you to prove ownership. Sometimes you have to remove the radio and give them the serial number on the radio. That is the only way to unlock without the code.

If you are a regular at your honda dealer they might do it for free.

Radio won't play

You have had a loss of power to the radio (such as when the car battery is changed), or the radio has been replaced or disconnected from the car's wiring harness. This is a theft deterrent because the stolen radio is useless to someone without the activation code. This code can be obtained from a dealer or it is found on a small plastic card that is part of the original owner's materials. Number is usually 5 digits. When you turn on the radio and the readout says 'CODE ', enter the number by using the numbered station selection buttons (which are numbered 1-2-3-4-5-6). If the radio beeps when you are entering the number, start over. If it keeps beeping, you have the wrong code number (which might be the case if the radio has been replaced). Note: The 'CODE' button located on the small computer face to the right of the radio (with the date, mileage, temperature, etc) has NOTHING to do with the process or the radio 'CODE'.

Contact your local Benz dealer with your VIN number in hand. They will be able to give you the code for your radio. Some dealers want you to prove you are the owner of the vehicle.

Car stereo code number

The code normally comes on a separate document as does key codes or numbers. You could check the owner's manual to see if it was noted in there. (A bad idea.) Also check for a sticker inside your glove box. If that doesn't work then you need to remove the radio/CD player from the dash to get it's serial number from the back of it. Take that number with your VIN to a Honda dealer and they should be able to get your security code for you. They will likely ask for your driver's license & registration to prove you own the vehicle.

Radio code

If it isn't in your owner's manual packet, you can get it from the dealership. You'll need your registration and title, as well as photo ID. That will prove the car is yours and you are who you say you are. Your VIN number is on the registration, and the dealer can look up your radio code based on the VIN of the car. They may charge you something for doing it (up to an hour's labor).
