My 2009 scion xb starts but the gas pedal doesnt work?? i try accelerating and nothing, seems as if the car is in neutral? any solutions?

That is a mess and points to nothing in particular, perhaps a communication issue with the BCM?

scan it , it will tell you why.
if TBW fails throttle by wire fails speed is like 20mph max or less. on purpose., so scan it.
also if RPM is low foot ******* the throttle.?
then engine power lacks, scan it.
if RPM goes way high but MPH not same increase,the transmission is dead or slipping.

Bad APP/ gas pedal or TPS/ throttle body. Have the codes read. Neither are cheap parts.

I know you are looking to have the remote starter run a third time but I would say you need to look at your Fuel Pressure Regulator on the Scion. Sounds like it is not holding fuel pressure at the fuel rail and that is why it requires a third Crank

well all the lights should come on when you start it, it is the system is telling you all is ok, now if it stays on then sorry to say you have to take it to a dealership to have it looked at

I did the same, replaced revolution sensor, worked better for a day then same issue. Needs a new prndl or neutral safety switch, you may have to re replace revolution sensor. Will be under factory warranty from dealership, or hopefully company you bought it from. I'm having exact same issue right now. Good luck!

It's a chain and doesn't require maintenance unless it starts rattling (stretched chains will slap against case)

Hi.. Yes i fix my problem by disconecting the neutral suitch and reconecting it ,,they get dirty with time and dont make contact ,Is a good idea to disconect and clean as many contacts as you can and put some special grease on them to prevent other problems ...

umm i dont have a solution but where did u find the starter and how did u use a screwdriver for it??
