Not... sure if this will help, but, you can try this, if you have a garage or in a place were you can get a Large fan (that is low to the flood) that will blown at is highist speed on the front of your car it must be at lease over night...leave the hood up and unhook your battery.. if you try to do this in a warm place... on the next day rehook the battery and if it start let it run for at lease 30 or more mintes.. now drive it for 50 mile at no more than 35 mile per hour don't go over it... this will give your computer time to reset it self ......Now after your 50 mile trip put that baby on the expressway and enjoy the ride.... I Pray that this will help Talk to you La Da!!

The voltage regulator is in the alternator take it to an auto parts store and have it tested most likely the
regulator is toast or the brushes when they got wet. GOOD LUCK

My 2005 cobalt went thru a large puddel and the car stoped running.

When you drove thru the large puddle of water the air cleaner system may have sucked water into the engine, pull out the spark plugs and try turning over the engine, if water comes out of the spark plug holes then you may have a serious problem.

Went thru a flooded road about 8"deep stalled out

You filled the cylinders with water. You will need to remove all the spark plugs and crank the engine with them out, to push out the water. you will also want to replace the air filter as it is probably saturated with water.

2007 cobalt will not start or turn over. key

Could be a problem with key in ignition switch located on the side of the lock cylinder inside steering column. The one I worked on this was part of whats called clockspring assembly witch will be a dealer only part. Then you cut the two wire swtch off and splice it in so you don't have to remove steering wheel and replace the whole clockspring assembly. Might also be problem with ignition switch (inside column) that key lock cylinder ingages into. I have a couple of questions. Is power going to the dash and just not the starter? Is the security light on all the time and dosn't cycle out? There should be a anti theft reset precedure like leaving key on till light goes out. Good luck hope this helped
