Thanks for the replies! I have been working on this for a while. So far I have replaced the MAP sensor, the EGR valve, the IAT sensor, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, spartk plugs and the ignition coil. I have also moved the fuel injector, cleaned the throttle body, compression tested the cylinders (150-155psi) and I use Mobile 1 5W20 oil and Mobile 1 filter. Just today I downloaded the MPG booster and turned off the MDS system with my DiabloSport Intune. I'm running out of ideas. Has anyone come across this situation? Any suggestions?

I just started my car and it was misfiring. I disconnected the plug from the coil on cylinder one and there was no change in the idle. I disconnected the plugs from cylinders five and seven and the idle changed. The check engine light came on and I got codes P2302, P2314, P2320 and P0301. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: chrysler 300c '06 can't get it out of park

This is a very common problem on the Chrysler LX Platform vehicles from 2005 - 2007. It's a broken Park Lock-Out Mechanism made from cheap plastic. Chrysler will only replace the whole shifter because they don't make just the part you need and it will cost you some bucks if you are out of warranty.

There is a way to over-ride the Lockout and you can purchase just the replacement piece from the only company that makes them in 100% aluminum billet.....BilletTechnology.com. Go to 300cforums.com or lxf.com and search for "pink thingy" or park lock-out mechanism. Tons of information as well as DIY threads with pictures and even YouTube demos.

Cylinder misfire

misfire,
only on cylinder #1
bad spark plug or wires to it or COP coil to it.
bad injector
bad injection signals
low compression on #1

there are simple tests for each, i will not ever guess on misfire.

misfire means, in English (not slang)
THIS Cylinder #1 had weak power during the POWER stock.
The ECU computes Velocity of each power stroke and Reports the weak.
even an air leak to #1 intake runner can cause this
or the injector #1 base gasket leaking. Air.

but it is not fibbing it is weak. #1
