can not get to the headlight casing. There is metal barrier. Took it to kwik fit and they took the whole bar off and got to the bulb then they saw a screw and said can not fix it. they said to take it to vw dealer.

the picture is detailing as if the casing is removed from the exterior? Basically Kwik fit have been trying to take the casing out from the interior. Does the casing come out from the exterior?

Hi!

It's easy, under the hood on the headlight casing is a lever like thing, (careful it is fragile) pull the lever up or down (varies for diffrent models).
Push the entire headlight casing out toward the front of the car. (The casing will hang over your bumper). Pull out the headlight and plug the new one in.
Push the casing back in and lock the casing in with the lever. One note, there is some really sticky adhesive holding the light in, so you may have to push/pull hard to get it to slide out.

Thanks
Rylee

I think they broke something and aren't taking responsiblity as the VW headlights doesn't require screws, they come out as i wrote you earlier.

I think this link might help---

Change headlamp bulb on vw polo 2006

Open the hood/bonnet and you should see the back of the headlights in the front corners of the engine compartment. Look for bolts/sping-clamps that are holding them in place, and remove. Slide the headlight out so you can reach the bulb, remove the old one and replace. Reverse the removal procedure to replace the headlight

How do i change headlight on a 2003 Murano

To change the headlight bulbs, you will need to remove the wheel liner cover to gain access to the back of the headlamp assemblies. Then you can pull off the screw cap / cover that seals the bulb into the headlamp assembly for the bulb you want to change. Once the cap is off, you will need to disconnect the harness from the back of the bulb. With the harness off, you will then need to either twist a black lock ring to release the bulb, or you will need to push on a metal lever to release the bulb (this varies on models and high and low beams).
Install in the reverse order....

I have a 2004 VW polo playa confortline and the headlights are both dead, there is no current on the fuses for the haedlamps, however the bulbs are fine and all else is fine?

Check the Headlight Relay by interchanging it with one that you know is good, [eg] the Starter Solenoid. If that cures the problem, there is only the cost of a realy.

Driver side headlight bulbs burned out on 2003 VW Golf

There is a light cover in front of the battery... take this off and then look for the metal clamps holding the light housing in.  (I say clamps, but they're more like glorified paper clips on either side of the fixture.)  Press in on each side, pushing the clamps towards each other and pull the fixture out.

How do I change the headlight bulb on a 2003 Mazda6

Just went to my local store - they sell the bulbs and fit them while you wait...the guy does a lot of them - he had it done in 10 minutes and charged 12 pounds including the bulb. I watched him do it - twisted the cover off - popped the bulb out and popped the new one in ...he didn't actually unbolt anything from the car...worst of all it was dark and raining...I'd suggest this route unless you have small hands or are willing to spend an hour fiddling around
