I have a new problem. I would like to prove that my car is a numbers matching car . How do I find out what motor was put in my car by the factory?

It is a 1971 Chevelle 454 SS LS5 365HP. I know that it is a matching numbers car but I don't know how to prove it.

Need help figuring out door lock number combination

You go to a dealer & give them your vehicle VIN #
They will give you the factory code
Then you ask,if you have no owners
manual, how to put that in to the keyless
entry pad & how to change to what you want.
You shouldn't need the car there, just prove
you own it,to get help & that should be free help.

Lost the key of a santa fe 2004..the only one...what to do?

Take your title proveing you own the car to the Hyundai dealership and they can use your vin# to get you a new key! The factory keeps the key skimatics on file and you can get a new one as long as you can prove you own the car cost about $40 sometimes more depending on if it is a coded key!

Need to find a part number for the flasher switch in 1994 ford escort wagon.

it wont neccasarily have a part number, you can go to the autoparts store and tell them what you need and they'll pull it off the shelf, matching factory numbers to new parts dont mean a thing these days, everystore has its own part number system.some use the same numbers some dont, hope this helps ya.

Ecu went out on my 98 eclipse. i found another 98 eclipse, same tranny, same motor, numbers match. will i have to flash this?

Yes , I would have the ecu reset to factory standards.
You never know if some one changed the ecu to run a racing engine. There are all kinds of software that people can get to make the engine run at 150 or more horsepower past factory standards.

Heater fan don`t work and the fuse is good

you need to check your wiring to the motor and ascertain if you have a positive and negative feed to your motor to see if your motor is ok, see if you can put a feed directly to the motor to prove it, if the motor runs you have a wiring problem elsewhere
