SOURCE: my pt cruiser just quit driving down the road one

Go back to basics before they replace your whole engine. I'm assuming the engine cranks, yes? Is there a spark coming from the coil? You can test this yourself by pulling a wire off one of the plugs and holding near the motor while someone cranks the engine. If you're not getting a spark, we'll need to check fuses, relays, etc. I'm not saying this will be easy, but you are not getting good advice so far. I have some tips you can read, at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5821173-doesnt_car_start_gasoline_engines but I'm willing to walk you through this if you're up for it.

My 2007 pt cruiser won't start put on new crank sensoe & coil pack can any one help me please.

Take off the cam position sensor and put your finger on the end of the cam. Have someone crank the car; if the cam doesn't rotate, you have a broken timing belt. Not that big a problem, there won't be any engine damage because the valves do NOT have an interference fit with the pistons.

I put a 2005 motor in a 2001 pt cruiser and put all the 01 sensors on the 05 motor except for the crankshaft senor it is the 05. I am not getting fire at the coil pak

your crank sensor IS what fires the coil pack
mixing the two years sounds like the problem
check wire harnes see if the 01 powers the 05 the same termail
01 senor and pack may have to go back
good luck!

My pt cruiser just quit driving down the road one day put it on computer said coil pack was bad changed it still wouldnt start hooked back up to computer said cam sensor was bad changed it still wouldnt...

On this type of vehicles' "Diamler-Chrysler" for some reason the Crank and Cam sensor go bad at the same time but it will still tell you its either one or the other, if you are still getting the Cam sensor trouble code, try replacing the Crank Shaft Position Sensor, I just had a Dodge vehicle with the same problem but in reverse, it kept saying Crank Sensor but it turned out it was the Cam Sensor. Good Luck.

2001 PT Cruiser quit running driving down highway

Most likely a cam sensor or a crank sensor. The timing belt didn't break did it? They also have an issue with the timing belt tensioner going bad and jumping a tooth.
