Question about 1990 Nissan Maxima
Car ran then sat for a year now wont start has no spark not sure if alarm is keeping it from having spark
Might be your coil, an ecm fuse or other fuse, your distributor or a sensor. If you can, Have a diagnostic tester hooked up to it. Do you, or did you have a service engine soon light prior to no spark. Timing belt may have snapped also. Bad timing will cause no spark. Check fuses first. Then go from there. Could be a bad ground somewhere or a short. make sure alarm system is dizconnected. Had this happen in a van. Person broke off on/off switch to alarm system.

SOURCE: alarm wont let me start the car
you need the remote control of the alarm to turn the alarm off.
you may need to change the battery of the remote in case it would no longer control the alarm or if you have a valet switch to turn off the alarm, then use it.
the immobilizer is working that is why you can not start the car.
tnx 4 using fixya,

if it ran out of gas it just may be air locked, you can't just crank the engine turn the key to the run postion for 3 seconds and shut off and do this 7 or 8 times then try starting it. The fuel pump will not pump while cranking it is a fail safe if the car is in a wreck and the pump won't continue to pump gas out and catch on fire. This should fix it for you.

you need to have someone check the battery cable ends, sounds like you are loosing the ground circuit, when this happens the anti theft system will set, and you will losse the radio memory, probly just replae the battery cable ends and that should take care of the problem...good luck
let me know if there is any thing else you need.
