The very first thing that must be done is to have the system checked for a leak and the resulting loss of refrigerant. You will need a set of AC system pressure gauges, the low side should be 28-32 PSI if the system is full. Sears carries the gauges for about $50.00

I have a 2005 cavilier..it keeps blowing the main 30amp fuse when the ac is turned on..any help

you need to inspect all AC WIRING, to find the SHORT, thats causing the fuse to blow ! donot put another fuse in until you locate the shorted condition, ( bad connection, frayed wire, bare wire touching metal along this circuit, you might have a bad switch, your ac has two switches under hood, one @ high pressure side and one @ low pressure side. and your main control switch, check all wires & connections

MY AC ON 2003 FORD MUSTANG BLOWS HOT AIR AND DONOT HAVE OWNER MANUEL TO SEE IF FUSE BLOWN

The most common cause for an AC blowing hot air is the system is low on refrigerant. A small leak will eventually lose refrigerant until the compressor eventually will shut down. Most compressors require a minimum of 20psi to engage and chill the air. Most certified service stations can diagnose and recharge most systems for $100-150 depending on where the leak is. There are do it yourself kits available at most auto parts stores that come complete with leak detector (R-134A with dye to show where leaks are) compressor oil, and a recharge hose.

I have a 89 chevy 1500 the brake lights do not work. The turn singals work the running lights work but the hazzard flashers do not work either. The brake lights donot work or the hazzards donot work ,...

First check all fuses. If they look good, more than likely brake light switch is bad. Switch is mounted just above brake pedal under the dash. Small plastic switch w/a couple of wires coming from it. Easy fix.

Driver side AC vents gives hot air while AC is on and the passenger side gives cold air. All the vents are open and the knobs are turned correctly. Please advise.

Check the vacuum servo motor located near your right foot as you sit in the vehicle. This is a aluminum canister about 1 3/4 inches in diameter. It has a linkage conncted to the airflow door. Try lying on the floor while someone swithches the control to defrost and then back to panel. If you donot see movement at this spot check for vacuum at the line. You can do this by putting the line on your tongue and you'll feel if it is active or not. Good luck. P.S. Also reach around the duct that leads to your vent and make sure that it is still secured to the rest of the connecting duct work. You are best off removing the knee protection panel(under the steering column) to gain better access. Thanks, Dana

Sounds like a weak fuse to me. See if you can find a block fuse hook up to the wires going to the compressor.
