Hi u will probably find under the bonnet somewhere a fuel filter and or a housing that contains a bowl of somesort and on the bottom of it should be a bung, unscrew it anticlockwise and drain the water out, drain it until u can see and smell fresh diesel it usually takes quite a bit of water usually upto a cup or so to trip the light or a message so only drain out about 2 cups or so or u will have difficulties trying to start it, also there may be a primer button on the same housing or somewhere else that if u find it just pump it until it goes hard then start it up and and hold the revs and 2k or so for a half a minute or so and away u go, it may stop after immediatly after starting try starting again but avoid cranking for any longer than 10 or 15 seconds then give it 30 senconds or so and try again it should start if no go after 2 or 3 attempts and u found the primer button try priming until it goes hard again and follow this again, if not just leave it a little longer between attempts and you will slowly purge the air out of the system

hope this helps

Is there any known problem/fault with the BT50 (2013) utility getting water in the fuel tank

check the seal at the sender /pipe pick up at the top of the tank
it is a small depression and any water sitting there will leak in
change where you are getting your fuel as water is used to clean out the tankers delivering the fuel and it is possible that contamination is being picked up from the under ground tanks
if it is a diesel, water forms from condensation when the hot diesel fuel is returned to a cold tank
if it is a diesel then to cut down on the moisture , keep the fuel tank as full as possible
use a water separator in the fuel line and use diesel conditioner additive in the tank to prevent a fungus that grows in that environment
for further information discuss the problem with an accredited diesel specialist shop --the best type of water separator and conditioner to use

What would cause this? My dash water in fuel warning light remains on even though I have unplugged the sensor in the diesel filter.

It would stay on if the sensor is unplugged. That indicates a malfunction. Why would you unplug it? Have you drained your water separator? You would probably want to measure resistance on the sensor itself, to see if it is malfunctioning. Water in diesel is not a good thing. If you are sure the indicator light is telling you there is water when there is not, you may have a bad sensor or a short in the wire, etc. The reference voltage for most computer controlled sensors is 5V. I do not see what type of vehicle this is or what year, so my information is very limited. You do not want that sensor to stay unplugged though. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A NEWER VEHICLE (96 & later). If the sensor is bad, replace it.

Engine making hissing sound

Mix a bit of soap and water and spray near the sound to determine from where the sound is coming, and post more information. If it's a gas car, try not to spray much water on wires like spark plugs or coils. Post information like make and model of car. Engine size, turbo or not, diesel or gas? Not much to go on here. Could be a small vacuum leak or a busted manifold, a bad intercooler, who knows with this bit of info?

What does a c on the dic mean?

Your vehicle has a Driver Information Center (DIC).
All messages will appear in the DIC display located
below the speedometer in the instrument panel cluster.
The DIC buttons are located on the instrument panel,
to the left of the instrument panel cluster.
The DIC comes on when the ignition is on. After a short
delay, the DIC will display the information that was
last displayed before the engine was turned off.
The DIC displays trip, fuel, and vehicle system
information, and warning messages if a system problem
is detected. The bottom line of the DIC shows the
shift lever position indicator. See Automatic
Transmission Operation on page 3-23
for more
information.
If your vehicle’s DIC has these features, the compass
direction and the outside air temperature may also
display on the DIC when viewing the trip and fuel
information. The compass direction appears on the top
right corner of the DIC display. The outside air
temperature automatically appears in the bottom right
corner of the DIC display. If there is a problem with the
system that controls the temperature display, the
numbers will be replaced with dashes. If this occurs,
have the vehicle serviced by your dealer/retailer.
The DIC also allows some features to be customized.
See DIC Vehicle Customization on page 4-66 for
more information.

What controls the temperature gauge on a 1990 ford f150 5.0 engine and where is it located

The temp gauge on the dash displays the information transmitted by the coolant temperature sensor. This sensor is located - on the engine - by the water neck. The water neck is where the top radiator hose comes across and connects to the radiator. This sensor can look like the one here:

How to reset the clock on dash

I'm thinking that your talking about the VIC is the Vehicle Information Center... Its the display unit between the radio & the ashtray.

You have to hold the "set" button while the time/date is displayed. Use the set button to change each section, then select to cycle through.

Hope helps with this.
