I can't come and diagnose your car, but there are 2 things that might help.
First, if you will disconnect your battery each time you are finished driving your car, the battery will not drain overnight. You will need to re-connect it to go somewhere.
Second, there is an electrical item that is turned on, that is not turning off, or, there is a short in your electrical system.
When, in the morning or whatever, you hook up your battery, if there is a spark of any size at all between the battery cable and the battery connection, you know there is a short or something left on.

Completely disconnect the battery and connect a battery charger to the car and plug it in...use at least a ten amp charger..listen for any hum in the car and determine where its comming from.. modules relays radio amps dome light glove box any accesories powered by the battery normally..the hum will direct you to the source...good luck..also if theres a short in the system it will show on the charger....

Battery being drained over night

Check to be sure that your hood light is turning off when you close the hood. Seriously. (Common problem.)
Remove the bulb from the hood light to see if the problem persists. If the battery no longer drains, replace the hood light assembly.
Also, run the car for a short while, then turn the car off. Leave the car off for an hour, then feel the back of the alternator. If it is hot, the diodes are bad in the alternator.

Battery drains overnight if outside

disconnecting either battery cable accomplishes the same thing (breaking the circuit). most people recommend disconecting the negative because there is no chance of grounding out your wrench while doing so, wheras if you are disconecting the positive and your wrench bumps a ground point it will arc.

2000 Mercury Grand Marquis battery drains overnight. Have replaced the battery and checked the altenator. Help!

Your dome light may be staying on. Manually turn it off for a night, see if that helps. You definately have a slow draw somewhere.

Battery draining overnight

make sure there's no interior lights, dome lights, map lights or console lights on.If nothing is on after you turn off and leave the car, then you may have an altenator parasitic drain.Have the altenator tested.

My battery is being drained dry by something. we thought it was the battery so we changed it but the new battery was also sucked dry. and I'm positive i didn't leave any lights on when i turn the truck...

you can try this, sounds like the voltage regulator.after batt is charged.unplug the altenator.leave overnight. if batt is still charged, you need to haved alternator checked. hope this helps

Voltage drop

had some help here ,everything is pointing to the altenator .Sorry to say after you have changed it twice but i think you have been unlucky and replaced the unit with one with the same fault ---was it a new one or scrapyard ?? start engine and then hold rpm at 1500/2000rpm and disconnect battery if engine continues to run then altenator is charging ,now turn everything electrical on and see if engine continues to run ,if it does then altenator is ok ¿¿¿¿sort of ??.Right now stop engine .Leave overnight and see if it starts (battery disconnected) if engine starts ok then it could be one of two faults, firstly a diode is faulty in the altenator ??or a DISCHARGE like a boot light on ??big amp in the boot for music left on? anything stupid in fact .Quick one here is if after following my advice then not sure ,disconnect altenator and leave battery connected ,if it then goes flat then it something on in the car with a drain of more than 21watts .Divide volts into watts gives you the amperage being drawn. If it starts then its the diode pack in the altenator.Best of british with it .

Unknown drain on battery often dead overnight . Where to begin search? 2004 LR Disc.

get the altenator checked along with your battery. make sure the lights and every thing is off when you exit the vehicle. if it aint that then you got a wire somewhere that is doing something to keep something on.

Flat battery

Sounds like your altenator. Take the vehicle in or just take in the alternator and have it checked for proper voltages. The alternator should be delivering 14.5 volts when running over 1200 rpm. If not then the vehicle will use up the battery power until flat. A tell tale sign is the front head lights brighten and dim with the revving of the motor. To continue running off the battery itself will eventually kill the battery.
