Someone will need to check the circuits in the car for a voltage drain.
A mechanic would pull the negative battery cable and use a test light to check for a power draw on each circuit. Could be a relay or other electrical component with a short to ground. Could also be a small courtesy light left on.

Your battery has a few dead cells, replace the battery. A good battery should crank your engine for a while before it goes dead.

Will altenator cause motor not to start even though you are getting fuel and spark

ALtenator runs your car while it is running and charges your battery. If your altenator is bad you car will run on the battery until it drains the battery dead. So no the altenator will not prevent you car from starting. Check your fuses.

Battery will not charge

Take the battery to an auto parts store or Sears and have them run a battery test. It is very likely one or more cells in the battery have failed and it needs to be repalced.

sounds like your starter motor is at fault.I have had this problem before and found the starter was draining the battery due to a short in the windings of the motor.
